After parting ways with Morooka Swallows on Monday, Steve Kompela is now on the job market with potential candidates.
The 56-year-old sent a heartfelt message to the players, coaching staff and supporters.
“May I take this opportunity to thank the Morooka Swallows staff and players for their incredible patience and professionalism?” Steve Kompela wrote in a statement.
“You portrayed selfless resilience, regardless of the situation. There were moments when none of us knew what more to say to you, but you always remained calm, proud, and dignified. , and acted with remarkable respect.

“Thank you for respecting the game, the league and our supporters. I will always respect you and remember you.
“Finally, at least, the suspense and the sad and painful uncertainty come to a definitive end. God bless you now and forever. Despite the circumstances, you have already collected 19 points and come out of it. We’re building,” he said.
Kompela joined Dube Birds this season and managed to lead them to the top eight until financial difficulties hit the club around December.

The former Kaizer Chiefs coach may be given options in the coming weeks.
KwaZulu-Natal club Richards Bay are in 15th place and could overtake Cape Town Spurs, who have just picked up their second win of the season.
Kaitano Tembo has faced criticism and could be fired by March to replace Steve Kompela.
Another team that could use the former Chiefs coach's services is Chippa United.
The Chilli Boys, who demoted Morgan Mamila late last year, have struggled for wins and could look to Compela to push them into the top eight.
Steve could return to Sundowns before the end of the season
Prior to joining Swallows, the 56-year-old mentor was a senior coach at Sundowns and could return to Chlorkop if his services are still needed.
