Following the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, pop star Taylor Swift voiced her support for Harris and urged her “Swifties” to go vote in the country's upcoming elections.
“I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential election. I am voting for Kamala Harris because I believe she fights for rights and causes and we need warriors to defend them,” the 34-year-old wrote in a statement on her Instagram.
“She is a stable and talented leader who believes this country can achieve so much more if led with calm rather than chaos.” Blank Space singer.
Harris and Trump faced off on national US television, debating their respective policies on issues including immigration, Ukraine and the Gaza war.

Taylor's advice
The multi-award-winning singer said her decision to vote for Harris came after doing her own research, and urged her US fans to do their own research on the two presidential candidates.
“You have to do all your research and make your own choices, and I would say, especially to first-time voters, remember that you need to register to vote, and I think early voting is a lot easier,” Swift asserted.
Swift said the artificial intelligence learned “she” supported Trump and asked for transparency about her vote.
“I've come to the conclusion that, as voters, I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election. The easiest way to counter misinformation is to tell the truth,” she said.

“I watched tonight's debate, and if you haven't already, now is a great time to find out where the candidates stand on the issues at hand and the topics that matter most to you,” Swift said after the 90-minute debate.

“Trump struggled to stay on message throughout the debate. His answers were unfocused and seemed focused on attacking Harris.”
Harris also called the Republican candidate “weak.” She redirected Trump's accusation that the world would make a mockery of U.S. leadership back at the former president. “It's completely public knowledge that these dictators and autocrats are rooting for you to become president again,” Harris told Trump.
