On Thursday, the NPA dropped all charges of rape, attempted murder and assault against Jubjubu.
Reacting to the dropping of charges against TV presenter Molemo “Jub Jub” Mahlokhanyane, the television channel Moja Love said the verdict had not changed their relationship.
“The ruling does not change our business relationship with JabJab. The matter did not affect the channel,” Moja Lab spokesman Nonzawakazi Sekete said. Citizen.
On Thursday, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) dropped all charges against Jubjub.
The charges of rape, attempted murder and assault against Maarohanye are made by a complainant, Jubjubu's former partner, who filed a rape allegation against Jubjubu in February 2022 and claims the crimes occurred between 2006 and 2009.

The channel speaks
“The channel has always been clear that it respects the rule of law and court process. Therefore, as the matter was in court proceedings, the channel could not comment at the time,” Sekete asserted.
Following his social media comments, three other women came forward with similar allegations. An arrest warrant was issued and Jub-Jub appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court. He was released on R10,000 bail until 2023.
Jub Jub went to police when the allegations were first made in July last year.
Moja Love said in a statement: “According to the information we have, Jab Jab handed himself in to police early today and has currently been released on bail. We will be monitoring developments in the case and await justice.”
In its latest statement, the agency welcomed the conclusion of the trial.
“In line with the NPA's decision on Thursday, the TV station reaffirms its commitment to the rule of law, respects the NPA's decision and considers this matter finally resolved.”

A relieved man
Jubjubu expressed relief at the confirmation that the NPA had dropped all charges against him.
“I want to express my deep gratitude to my legal team for their unwavering commitment to justice and truth,” he said.
“This verdict brings relief and acquittal not only to me but to all those who have supported me. The outpouring of support has been truly moving and I am grateful,” he said.
The NPA said it takes all allegations of sexual violence seriously and will not hesitate to take a proactive stance.
He said this could only be done “if there is relevant and admissible evidence in support of the charges.”
“Unfortunately, in this case, after further evaluation of the available evidence, the charges were dropped as there was no prospect of successful prosecution,” the statement said.
