Tottenham reached the Women's FA Cup final for the first time with a dramatic victory over Leicester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Just before the end of extra time, substitute Martha Thomas scored with a looping header to give Tottenham a come-from-behind victory in London.
Jutta Rantala put Leicester ahead with an excellent long-range shot from normal time, before Jessica Naz slotted home the equalizer past goalkeeper Lise Kop.
Buoyed by a lively home crowd, Tottenham pressed on for victory and almost snatched victory when Kop made a superb save from Thomas's shot.
Forward Rantala's free-kick was deflected under the crossbar by Tottenham goalkeeper Becky Spencer, but it was ultimately Thomas who delivered the finishing blow in a hard-fought encounter.
It was an exciting game, with plenty of chances for both sides, but Spurs made club history by taking the lead and will now face either Manchester United or Chelsea in the final at Wembley on May 12th. Ta.
History made as Spurs reach the centerpiece of Wembley
This was an important day for both clubs. Neither club had ever reached this stage of the competition before, having avoided last season's finalists in the draw.
Leicester have launched a free bus service to London for their traveling supporters, with six buses leaving early on Sunday, and north London tube stations and trains crowded with Tottenham fans.
It was the hosts who started the best, with Grace Clinton and Celin Bizet combining to create two big chances, but the Norwegians were unable to capitalize.
Minutes later, Rantala punished Spurs by cutting inside from the right and powerfully drilling past Spencer to score the opening goal.
Both teams continued to create chances. Tottenham's Evelina Zumanen posed a threat, while Leicester had a great chance to make it 2-0 when captain Sam Tierney's shot was blocked from close range.
Deanne Rose's pace gave the visitors the lead, but with Clinton, Bethany England and substitute Thomas, Tottenham always looked dangerous.
It paid off in the end as Nas capitalized on a Josie Green error to equalize and Tottenham carried their momentum into extra time. Just as he did when he scored a late equalizer in England's quarter-final victory over Manchester City.
It was an incredible feat for Tottenham in Robert Villahamn's first season as manager, with fans celebrating wildly at the final whistle, DJs playing club anthems and players embracing. I got up and started dancing.
Leicester City, under caretaker manager Jennifer Foster following the sacking of Willie Kirk amid allegations of a rift between player and coach, fought through a tough few months for the club to push Tottenham to the end.
