Two teenagers were kidnapped in the UK on Wednesday. (Included)
North West Police said two British cousins, aged 17 and 19, were abducted outside a primary school on Wednesday morning as they were on their way to school in Hartbeesport.
Police spokeswoman Lt. Col. Amanda Funani said cousins Zaraa Mohamed and Bataviya Mohamed were attending school in Hartbeesport from Bataviya's home at the time of the attack.
“The car they were driving was hit head-on by a maroon Audi A3 and had to stop,” she said.
“Two armed men got out of the Audi A3 and allegedly ordered the cousins to get into a white Volkswagen Polo GTI that was driving behind the Audi A3.”
The suspects fled the scene.
Police have asked anyone with information to contact British police chief Brigadier Ellen Emanuel on 082 447 7447.
This is a developing story.
