South African-born musician Tyra Cesar has announced that she is canceling her international tour due to a “tragic deterioration” of her injury.

The Grammy Award-winning singer said in a statement on Thursday, March 7, that she has been medically advised not to participate in any festivals or tours as it would jeopardize her long-term health and safety.
“My Tigers…you all know that this moment that you all helped me turn into reality was a life-changing dream. This past year has changed my life forever. I am so grateful and humbled by all of this. I can't thank you enough for your loving support, joy, laughter, and victories.
“While this is something I wanted to address personally, it is important to share what I have to share with you today. Over the past year, I have suffered in silence with an injury that has tragically worsened. I visited doctors and specialists with high hopes, but the pain only became more painful with the seriousness of the situation.
“I am truly heartbroken to have to say this, but I am unable to continue touring at this time. After consulting with medical professionals, continuing with festivals and tour dates is in my long-term It has become increasingly clear that this poses a risk to health and safety.”
“Words cannot express my frustration at this pivotal point in my career. That's why my team and I will be here to help you as soon as I recover and feel safe to return to the stage this summer.” Please know that we are working hard to put on a great show for you,” Tyra continued.
Tickets will be refunded
Tyra was scheduled to begin the European leg of the Two Continent Tyra Tour in Oslo, Norway, on March 21st. Other concerts were scheduled for Stockholm, Copenhagen, Berlin, Cologne, Paris and Amsterdam, and were due to conclude in London on April 1st.
From there, she began the North American leg of her tour in San Francisco on April 22nd and was scheduled to perform at 18 concert venues through May 28th.
In addition to the tour, Tyra was scheduled to perform at the highly anticipated 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, headlined by Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, and Doja Cat, in April.
The songstress said that a headline performance in North America is scheduled and tickets will be automatically refunded. Meanwhile, fans in all other regions will be contacted by their ticket provider regarding their options as information and new dates are shared.
