South Africans who have rallied behind iconic actor Carlo Radebe will be pleased to know that the Duma Ndlovu Academy of Actors has reached out to him.
“Relying on government subsidies”
This comes after the former backstage The actor's friend Moritz Neethling appealed to his fans for support as the actor is in a difficult situation.
Neethling said Radebe lost his livelihood and was evicted from his previous residence. He currently resides on a remote smallholding on the outskirts of Johannesburg.
“We are dependent on government subsidies of only R13 and R350.” [per month] This doesn't give him the means to get himself on a casting agent's radar or send a video audition clip, much less feed himself, make phone calls, send and receive emails. You can understand that it doesn't even give you the means to get the data to do it.
“I sincerely hope (with his permission) to do everything I can to help this talented man regain his dignity and be freed from this dark grave in which he finds himself.” I am… [sic]” Neethling wrote.
Duma Ndlovu Acting Academy reaches out to Carlo Radebe
The Duma Ndlovu Academy of Actors has asked for help in locating Radebe as many fans and industry insiders have shown support for him.
“We are currently looking for Mr. Carlo Radebe. If you have any information on how to capture him, please contact us immediately.”
The next day, the Academy revealed that it had discovered the former. generation actor.
“We are pleased to report that we found him last night. Bless your hearts,” the academy said on Facebook.

Radebe took to his Facebook account to thank Mzansi for their support.
