KwaZulu-Natal Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) leader and prime ministerial candidate Thami Ntuli says voters have the power to change the current government through their votes.
Mr Ntuli was speaking at the IFP state election manifesto launch in Ulundi yesterday.
The persistent rain did not deter many IFP supporters from attending the state manifesto launch.
Supporters wearing party regalia braved the cold weather to sing songs in support of the party's current leadership.
Mr Ntuli said if his party wins power in the upcoming general elections, youth development programs will be prioritized and small and medium-sized enterprises will be supported financially.
“Based on these 15 points that I have laid out, the IFP Government will ensure that the economy is in the hands of local people. 's shops are run by KZN people. Foreigners should not run businesses in town.'
Voters were encouraged to recall leaders
Inkosi Zzipha Buthelezi, the son of the late founder of Inkosi Mangosuthu Buthelezi, remained unwavering as he called on voters to reappoint leaders who fail to fulfill their responsibilities after being elected.
“The most important thing we came here today to do is go out and vote. What we need to know is that no matter how prominent a person is, when it comes to voting rights, We are all equal and can elect and remove our leaders. Supporters call for employment
IFP supporters who attended the launch said they wanted young people to be given employment opportunities rather than relying on social relief subsidies.
Cebo Zikhali said, “The IFP government needs to come up with a plan to stop load shedding because people who run businesses depend on electricity.Then they want to evaluate those who have graduated and are qualified. I think. From the 29thth We must prioritize these people in the future. ”
