Actor Vuyo Dabula has made a grand comeback with a new role in Showmax's much-awaited film. The soul of the butcher.
After being shot in a gun violence incident in 2022, the actor took time off work to focus on his recovery.
A few weeks ago, he revealed that he has made a full recovery and is ready to return to the industry.
“I've been working really hard in the gym and am now fully recovered. I've also been focusing on recovering mentally and spiritually from that horrific near-death experience,” he said.

in Butcher's SoulD'Abra will play the role of Saul in “The 1st Century,” which is set to premiere on August 2nd.
He stars alongside a stellar cast that includes Melusi Mbele, Katlego Danke, Zinhle Mabena and Bokang Phelan.
About “Butcher's Soul”
Directed by award-winning director Kagiso Samuel Rebule, the film tells the story of a man who will do anything to protect his family.
After his family is attacked, a butcher is given seven days by the Angel of Death to save the sinner's soul in exchange for his daughter's life.
Katlego Danke, who plays the role of Emma in the film, took to Instagram on Tuesday to thank Rebule and the team for a memorable shoot.
“Kudos to the staff and crew who made this experience effortless and enjoyable. It reminded me of why I got into acting in the first place,” she wrote.
Danke also Butcher's Soul On the screen.
“I've never been more excited and eager to see the finished product than I am with this one.
“It was hard work, but so much fun! I'm really embarrassed to say I enjoyed every minute of it. I felt like I was enjoying it while feeling guilty. I can't wait to see it!”
