The family of a student who died during a memorial service for a classmate is still in shock.
Last Thursday, Katlego Seshoka collapsed on the grounds of David Makhubo High School in Kaalfontein, Gauteng.
“The only thing that keeps me strong is my family and their prayers,” Esther Seshoka told News24.
She is the mother of a 17 year old child.

Mapula Sepahane said her nephew showed no signs of being unwell when he left for school in the morning.
She added that her plans for the day were to attend a memorial service for a schoolmate.
But somewhere in the morning plans changed.
“Katlego and his friends decided not to attend the memorial service and instead played soccer,” Sepahane told News24.

After a while, Katlego took a break on the sideline.
“He fell off the chair and started having seizure-like symptoms,” Sepahane said.
His teammates panicked and called for help.

“One of the students ran to get Katlego's mother. When she arrived at the school, Katlego was already dead,” Sepahane said.
Katlego's family said he was a “good kid” and a kind person.
Seshoka added:
Every day is different. To be honest, I can't explain how I'm coping because I don't understand what I'm feeling right now.
The Ministry of Education said in a statement that police were investigating the circumstances surrounding Katlego's death.
“Every effort is being made to understand the sequence of events that led to this heartbreaking incident,” it added.
