Mourners packed the Oasis of Life Family Church in Daveyton on Thursday to pay their final respects to veteran actress Connie Chiume.
The star passed away last Tuesday after a short battle with illness.
“The Chiume family is saddened to announce the passing of internationally acclaimed and award-winning actress Connie Chiume.
“Connie Chiume passed away today, August 6th, at Garden City Hospital. The family asks that their privacy be respected during this difficult time,” her family said in a statement.

Chiume began her acting career with memorable roles in internationally acclaimed productions such as; Porgy and Bess, Ipi Ntombiand Little Shop of Horrors.
