Mandoza's son, Tumelo Tshabalala, was one of the many hopefuls who did not compete when the show started last year.
Singer Mihale Jones has emerged as the winner of the MTNPulse Virals competition after months of competing with fellow artists for the coveted R200,000 prize.
Of the R200,000 Mihale took home, she received R100,000 in cash, R50,000 will be used to shoot a music video, and the remaining R50,000 will be used to fund a radio and social media campaign.
MTNPulse Virals wants to create superstars out of young people and give them the best chance for success. Therefore, only people under the age of 25 could participate in this music competition.

The top eight were announced in November before the show premiered on Channel O. The eight chosen were Skewmie, Phio, Mtwana, Lee Sleigh, Gemmapel James, Cheryl Zondi, Airo Worldwide and eventual winner Jones.

Top 3 finalists
Just before the winner was announced, one of the finalists, Gemmapel James, shared a post on Instagram thanking the contest itself and the other contestants.
“It was certainly fun, tonight's finale. The winner will be announced. Thank you to you guys and the competitiveness you brought out,” he wrote.
The final three finalists were James, Mihale and Airo Worldwide. After the winner was announced, Airo Worldwide shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram.

“Congratulations to Mihale on your win. You deserve this, brother. I'm so happy! Always a viralist,” he said.
Mr Mandoza's son, Tumelo Tshabalala, was one of the many candidates who did not make it.
“My name is Tumelo Shabalala, aka Harry, I'm a rapper/producer from Soweto.I have an album out. weapons of sowetoon all digital streaming platforms,” said Tshabalala while introducing himself on social media.
