The South African Weather Service (SAWS) says the weather will bring even more heat into the weekend.
Temperatures will continue to rise into the weekend (February 3rd and 4th). High temperatures are expected to reach over 30 degrees in some states.

A heat wave has reached most of the state, with high temperatures continuing.

Weather forecast predicts a hot weekend
SAWS announced that some states will experience even more intense heat over the weekend.
High temperatures are likely to reach over 30 degrees over the weekend. Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal are some of the worst-hit provinces, with high temperatures continuing to be reported on Saturday and Sunday.

Like the North West, the Northern Cape and Western Cape are also affected by an intense heatwave.
Weather forecast and future predictions
According to weather forecasts, the heat is expected to continue through the weekend, and may not ease until next week.

Partly cloudy weather is possible next week. Until then, South Africa is still considered to be in the midst of a severe heatwave. Conditions may improve, but first it's expected to be another warm weekend in most states.
