Strong winds are expected to lead to difficult maritime navigation in the Western Cape on Wednesday, the South African Weather Service said.
Partly cloudy and hot to warm weather is expected in other parts of the country, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the east. Otherwise, it will be sunny and very hot temperatures elsewhere.
Shock-based warning
A level 2 amber warning has been issued for the area between Table Bay and Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape for wind damage causing difficulties to maritime navigation.
Fire hazard warning
Very high fire danger is expected in the northern and central Northern Cape, the interior of the Namaqua District (Northern Cape), the west coast and the interior of the Cape Winelands (Western Cape).
