On Saturday, at Greyville Racecourse in Durban, some celebrities were seen off-putting with their outfits.
Hollywood Bets Durban July is renowned for its spectacular fashion displays and this year was no exception – but not all celebrities made it big time.
The event took place on Saturday 6 July at Greyville Racecourse in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Attempt to destroy Durban July's 'Ride the Wave' theme song fails
Several celebrities, including Makhazi and Lethabo Lujoy Masato, were slammed on social media after they tried and failed to sing the theme song to “Ride the Wave.”

Retabo Rejoy Masato
Rejoy's outfit was a jumble of colors and patterns that clashed terribly. Her blonde wig, brown dress, and silver accents combined to look more chaotic than stylish. One user said Rejoy's outfit looked like a school project.
Makaj
The BET Award winner wore a blue dress designed by Mamello Maka of Exotic Beauty Salon.
Not only was the dress the wrong size, it looked like it was put together last minute rather than thoughtfully designed, and the accessories, including a chunky pearl necklace, didn't help the look either.
Makhazi admitted in X that things hadn't gone well this year, saying, “I don't see anything wrong with the dress, except for the unbalanced curves. But Yona isn't sure about Shem. She tried to console herself, but yo, yo, yo.”

Sien Bugey
Her cyan dress, by Cherry's Bridal, wasn't terrible, but it looked like a copy-and-paste fail.
Mbali Nkosi
Mbali's outfit looked incomplete and effortless.
Eva Modica
The chunky platform shoes didn't suit Eva's look at all and the material of the dress took away from her overall look.
