Altman: “The vision of a happy future is one in which humans and AI are in a symbiotic relationship, where decentralized AI empowers many individuals, and where we all have control over everything we do.'' Not this single AI that is a million times smarter than any other entity.
Musk: “I agree with Sam. We are effectively already a collective human-machine symbiote, like a giant cyborg.”
Altman said in an interview and carried out Musk said this in September 2016.
Altman: “When it comes to the really important issue, which is AI, you've been outspoken about AI. What do you think a positive future for AI looks like and how do we get there? Can you tell me about it?”
Musk: “So I think we need to democratize AI technology and make it widely available. That's obviously why you and I and the rest of the team created OpenAI. “It was to help spread the word,” so that technology wasn't concentrated in the hands of a few people. ”
