Commissioned by Baxter Theatre and a creative exploration of the fight for affordable housing in a financial, commercial and residential precinct, Fleur du Cap and Standard Bank Ovation Award-winning playwright and director Tisetso Masiphane wa Noni’s latest play, Neighbourhood, will premiere at Baxter Studios from 2 August to 24 August.
Set in the fictional districts of Lindela (an informal settlement) and Everwood (an upper-middle-class neighborhood), neighborhood Everwood's ideal ecosystem, sustained by Lindela community members travelling to and from Everwood for job opportunities and quality education, is disrupted when, after multiple calls for affordable housing within Everwood, Lindela residents decide to take matters into their own hands and move to Everwood, becoming neighbors to the people they serve.

Auntie Lumumba rocks Cape Town

Each artist will perform their hit songs before coming together for the grand finale to pay tribute to the timeless music of Abigail Kubheka.
