With all home games now decided, it is now clear who the Springboks will face throughout the 2024 season.
The Springboks have added a match against Portugal to their 2024 Test schedule, with a one-off match scheduled after back-to-back games against Ireland.
Rassie Erasmus' side will play Ireland in Pretoria and Durban on 6 July and 13 July 2024, before facing Portugal (venue to be determined) on 20 July.

When the Springboks take on Ireland at Loftus Versfeld, they will resume play after a 252-day break. A week later, the Six Nations winners will reunite at Kings Park for their first visit to South Africa in eight years.
The Springboks won 2-1 in the 2016 series, but Ireland have won all three meetings between the teams (and five of the last seven) since then, most recently at the Rugby World Cup. A thrilling 13-8 victory in Marseille in the pool stage. .

A week later, on July 20, the Springboks will play their first Test match against Portugal. Portugal made a strong impression at the Rugby World Cup, holding a thrilling draw with Georgia and defeating Fiji 24-23 in their final group match.

As part of the Rugby Championship, fellow World Cup finalists New Zealand will return home for two Rugby Championship Tests in August and September. The Boks aim to beat the All Blacks for the first time in a row on August 31st for the first time since 2009.
