South African musician Ranga Mavuso waited in agony all night on Tuesday to hear about his mother's safety.
of Mvula The hitmaker took to social media to tell how his mother was hijacked and kidnapped south of Johannesburg on Tuesday night.
“If anyone witnessed the hijacking in the Mondeor area yesterday afternoon, please DM me. My mother and her car were last seen in the Power Park area around 7pm.” He spoke for help.
He claimed that his first attempts to hire a specialist tracking company to locate her had been unsuccessful, leaving him frustrated, disappointed and anxious.

“How can I sleep without knowing where my mother is? How can I close my eyes? Where is my mother?”
As the wait dragged on until morning, Mavuso finally received the good news he had been waiting for. His mother was found in Naturena. The thieves took her car, cell phone and laptop.

“God has been kind to us. I would never wish that kind of experience on anyone. Siyabonga Imitandazo”
Hijackings and kidnappings become a reality in the Southeast
Police reported that they registered over 5,600 cases of vehicle hijacking between October and November last year. This was down from 6,009 units in the previous three months.
Despite the decline, SA remains unsafe for many drivers, with around 61 cars stolen every day.

Looking back on the moments they spent together, Mavuso said Bae's death “hurt like hell.”
