Chiefs will take on Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium on Saturday, and Johnson will be in charge of the Glamor Boys.
Johnson also said the derby ranks 10th among football matches and ranks it as the world's greatest spectacle.
Additionally, this weekend's Soweto derby between Chiefs and Pirates will be the 180th derby in history.
Johnson said he expected the number of Chiefs fans to exceed the number of Pirates fans, noting that the game will draw a large number of fans.

A win for Johnson and the Chiefs would move them past the Pirates into second place, and he explains why it's a privilege for him.
“We have prepared well for this derby,” Johnson said ahead of the Soweto derby.
“And we're going to go out and have fun in front of the 100,000 people that are expected to come.
“We are confident that approximately 99,000 people will be Chiefs fans.
“But we’re expecting it and we’re going to do our best.”
Why Johnson is excited about the Soweto derby
Johnson will be hoping for a win for the Chiefs after losing their first game at the same venue last year.
“It's always a great honor to play in this derby,” Chiefs coach Johnson added.
“It's not often that you're classified as one of the top 10 in the world.
“And when you are a coach in a big organization like Kaizer Chiefs.
“And you’re playing against another big organization like the Orlando Pirates.
“So we need to bring the same energy into the game and enjoy the game from both sides.
“But we know we have to fight for derby bragging rights within the African continent.”
