Will Ospreay has responded to a veiled jibe from WWE creative chief Paul Levesque, better known as Triple H.
Ospreay mentioned a jibe related to his choice to sign with AEW.
A WWE man hinted during the WrestleMania press conference that Ospreay was looking for an easy ride.
“You are in no position to tell me what the difficulty is.”
Osprey takes issue with anyone who questions his work ethic.
“I've been thinking about this all week,” Ospreay said. AEW Dynamite.
“Rumors are going around that I'm afraid of something terrible. To be honest, I don't know where this conversation came from. We bring you the best professional wrestling matches in the world.
“And normally I wouldn't take the bait, but the guy who said that is only in the position he's in because he was tormenting his boss's daughter, so you're telling me what the torment is.” We're not in a position to say, 'We don't know what we're fighting for. So let's give this a painful little jab in return, so that we don't throw stones at assassins with machine guns.'
Will Ospreay sets his sights on Bryan Danielson
The Ospreys have their sights set on establishing themselves as the best in the world.
He feels that in order to do that, Bryan Danielson needs to be removed from Dynasty.
“Now, Brian, you said I was stronger and faster than you, and the fact is that I am. And the only way you can beat me is if you put me on the ground.” You said it could be done or not, but you are healthier, younger and better people than you have tried and failed.
“But Bryan Danielson, you are a living legend in this match and I can't say I'm the best wrestler in the world until I pin you on Dynasty. This is AEW at its best! Mr. Danielson, it's my turn to show everyone who I am and why I'm the ace of AEW! Bryan Danielson, come Sunday, April 21st, it's my turn to show everyone who I am and why I'm the ace of AEW! I know your name is Will Ospreay, but I’m on another level!”
On Dynasty, Ospreay will face Danielson in a dream match between two generations of independent wrestling icons.
This will be the first time that the two will step into the ring to face each other.
This contest will go a long way toward supporting the claim that the winner is the best performer in the ring at the moment.
