The final victim of the horrific New Orleans truck attack on New Year's Day has been identified as the son-in-law of Prince William and Prince Harry's former nanny Alexandra “Tiggy” Legge-Burke.
William, 42, said he was “shocked and saddened” to learn Saturday that Edward Pettyfer, 31, was among the 14 people killed in the French Quarter stabbing.
“Catherine and I are shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Ed Pettyfer,” Prince William said in an Instagram Story post.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pettyfer family and all the innocent people tragically affected by this horrific attack.”
The Daily News reported that officers from the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command were supporting Mr Pettyfer's family.
