Coby Mainou scored the winning goal in the 97th minute as Manchester United defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-3 at Molineux in a Premier League classic.
Just seconds after Pedro Neto appeared to have given Wolves a point, Maynou picked up the ball on the left and slotted it past Jose Sa for his first Premier League goal.
Wolves were 2-0 down at half-time and leveled the score in the 85th minute, 3-1 behind, but 18-year-old Maynou helped United secure the three points.
Marcus Rashford, who missed the FA Cup fourth round due to illness amid reports he had missed training, scored United's opening goal five minutes after returning. After a night out in Belfastbefore Rasmus Hoylund doubled the lead.
Pablo Sarabia pulled one back from the penalty spot and, shortly after coming on as a second-half substitute, Scott McTominay appeared to keep the visitors safe when he headed home a corner kick with 15 minutes remaining.
But that was just the beginning of the later turmoil.
Wolves captain Max Kilman scored from close range from a corner kick to ensure a grandstand finish.
Then, in the sixth minute of the extra nine minutes, Neto beat Andre Onana's wrong-footed shot home and United equalized just before half-time.
Wolves celebrated enthusiastically, but it turned out to be premature as it was Mainu who had the last word in a remarkable match.
Erik ten Hag's side have returned to the top seven after four away league games without a win and are now eight points clear of the Champions League places, while Wolves remain in 11th place.
More to come.
