The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series begins with a four-race stand and nearly $300,000 in prize money at Volusia Speedway Park in Barbourville, Florida. The 2024 season will be his 47th year in sprint car's premier series. The winner of his first three-day race will receive his $12,000. The fourth night on Saturday will cost $20,000.
David Gravel, who has finished second to Brad Sweet in the 2023 Outlaws Championship the past three years, will be looking to get off to a strong start at the track where he has won his past five races. His most recent win was in March 2023. Last February, Gravel dominated the opening two races at Volusia, which were held on the same day due to weather.

Donnie Schatz will try to maintain his 26-year winning streak on what has traditionally been a very kind track. Schatz earned 14 of his 313 wins for the Outlaws at this track, and in all series he earned 23 wins.
Logan Schuchart, who already has three wins at Volusia, hasn't been to victory lane at Volusia since 2021, but that was in part because he only finished seventh or worse twice in seven races. .
Carson Macedo has won four of Volusia's last 14 starts, finished in the top five eight times and finished with an average finish of 5.2, making him a strong candidate to win at least one out of four starts.

Kofoid is joined by veteran Bill Balogh, making his first full-time appearance on the series after playing a true outlaw schedule for most of his career. Although Balogh is considered a rookie, he has made 98 Outlaw starts since 2005, including a win at Beaver Dam Raceway in 2016.
Landon Crowley, 16, of Jason Sides, is the youngest freshman. Crowley has climbed the ladder, primarily racing American Sprint cars in his series.
Although he won't be competing full-time in the series, Sweet will be looking to score the Outlaws' seventh win at Volusia. The High Limit series, which he will compete in full-time in 2024, is scheduled to begin with two days of shows on February 12th and 13th.
