Zodwa Wabantu says she regrets helping ungrateful poor people
Zodwa Wabantu expressed her disappointment at poor people taking advantage of her.
“Please don't take my post negatively, just Abantu Bayakasaza “(People get tired) especially when you know you have a kind heart and you want to help in any way you can,” the entertainer said.
“Poor people think they're smart,” she posted on social media.
Speaking to TshishaLIVE, Zodwa further explained why she made the post.
The South African star said that while she has a responsibility, her choice to help people, especially the poor, should not make her so ungrateful that it turns her into someone she is not.
“I give back because someone has played a role in my life. I'm not a bad or difficult person. It's just that some poor people, when they know you're there for them, tend to take advantage of them. That's not what I want,” she said.
“I'm a mother and a sister and I have responsibilities just like anyone else. It's not ok to help someone who is ungrateful and keeps coming back to milk your kindness.”
“Most people know what I'm talking about and have experienced it. They just attack me and label me as arrogant,” Zodwa said.
