Umkhonto Wisizwe Party (MK) leader Jacob Zuma arrives at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium, where the party is holding its first anniversary rally since its formation on December 16 last year.
He is scheduled to address a rally later this afternoon. Although it secured more than 45% of the vote in KwaZulu-Natal in the May general election, it was unable to secure an outright majority.
This led to the establishment of a local unity government consisting of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), African National Congress (ANC), Democratic Alliance (DA), Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), and National Freedom Party (NFP). .
The MK party holds 58 seats in parliament. Thousands of MK Party supporters gathered at the stadium, wearing party uniform and waving MK party flags.
